Made right here in Vermont in small batches by adding our own fresh cider to fresh apple pulp as it cooks down, creating a smooth butter consistency. No sugar added and none needed. Our Spiced Apple Butter takes it a step further with the addition of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Our Cranberry Apple Butter adds cranberries and cardamom (the queen of spices) to the mix to make it irresistible. Our apple butters are made in small batches by cooking the apples in a big steam kettle. Once cooked, the apples get pushed through a "stripper" that separates the pulp of the apple from the seeds, stems and skin. Our fresh cider is added to the kettle as the pulp continues to be cooked down leaving the consistency of a smooth buttery spread similar to pudding. Our Unsweetened Apple Butter is pure and natural just like Grandma use to make! 9 oz jar.
