Because we make it the same way early Yankee pioneers made it: We boil down our own fresh Apple Cider and allow the natural pectin in the apples to change it to jelly. Nothing is added. People have discovered that it adds a special sweet something to a sandwich or a bagel. Used in a glaze, it enhances the savory flavor of a pork roast of a spiral ham like nothing else. Just add 2 or 3 tablespoons of water to dilute the Cider Jelly into a thick glaze, and then apply with a glaze brush midway through roasting and again before serving. Voila! You're in Vermont for dinner. So pleasingly flavorful that we use it as an all-natural base ingredient or sweetener in many of our products.
